Venice Wedding Hall
It is a former palace of the Loredan family, faces the Canal Grande, not far from the Ponte di Rialto. In this palace was born Elena Lucrezia Cornaro Piscopia, first woman graduated of the world: she discussed a thesis in philosophy at the University of Padua in 1678.
The wedding hall is Sala del Consiglio: it has peculiar wooden benches, original paintings on the walls and a precious Murano chandeliers. Civil ceremonies take place from Monday to Saturday from 8.45 to 13. Supplement for festivities and afternoon time is needed.
