From the moment you step onto Villa Daisy’s lush grounds, eight full-time staff members are there to ensure your comfort. Gather everyone around the barbecue or in one of several al fresco dining areas, relax in the pool, take the mountain bikes for a spin or face off on the bocce and tennis courts. After a day of activities, lounge in the whirlpool and sauna. There’s even Wi-Fi access and a PlayStation for the technologically inclined — or teenagers.

The villa’s interiors reflect its storied past as a home for aristocracy since 1400. The spacious two-story living room is covered by an arched brick ceiling, and has multiple seating areas, while other rooms have plush carpets and drapes, damask wallpaper and trompe l’oeil paintings. There’s a fully equipped kitchen, but the staff can arrange for a cooking service and assist with wine selection.

Each of the eighteen bedrooms has air conditioning, satellite TV and an en-suite bathroom. In the main house, there are sixteen bedrooms: one with a single bed, two with two twin beds each, and thirteen bedrooms with queen beds. There are two bedrooms in the annex, each with a queen bed. The bedrooms have the same traditional feel as the rest of the house, with antique furniture and richly colored fabrics.

Should you tire of bocce or tennis, there’s also golf and riding stables nearby. Arrange for a wine or bike tour of the area, or a motorboat excursion along the beautiful coastline of Monte Argenario. Villa Daisy is located in the town of Casole d’Elsa, just a 20 minute drive from Siena, 9 miles from San Gimignano, 35 miles from Florence and 166 miles from Rome.
