Terrace Wedding

In Rome, Venice, Florence and other important Italian cities there are many hotels and even restaurants that have tiled terraces sometimes overlooking the entire city from unique vantage points and it is from these places that you can have a terrace wedding ceremony and/or reception.

On the Amalfi Coast there are also some civil or municipal wedding sites where the mayor will marry you officially “in the name of the Italian Republic” as stated in the Italian language. These wedding ceremonies take place on terraces with sea views.

Terrace weddings are for couples that want to be able to make the city they are getting married in or the views a focal point of their event. Looking out over towns and cities and sitting on sidewalks observing the passersby has been a long time tradition everywhere in Europe.
