What about beach weddings in Italy?

Of all the places in Europe where you can you get married does Italy offer any beaches where people can have their marriage ceremony or wedding reception?
Yes, Italy most certainly does!

First of all, by being a long peninsula, Italy has more beaches per square mile than most countries of the world with maybe the exception of those that are entire islands! And of course Italy has some very famous islands which also have some well known beaches. Just to mention a few: Sicily, Sardinia, Ischia, Capri, Elba, Giannutri, Lipari, Giglio, Ponza, Procida and Montecristo.

Furthermore, the Italian Riviera, as well as most of the Italian coastline, has many wonderful beaches many of which are sandy beaches along with some lava or rocky shores.

Now although Italians do not typically opt for a beach wedding, if they are getting married in their home country, we do have couples that come from overseas to marry on the beach in Italy and we can organize a wedding reception for you on one of the Italian beaches in the many different wedding places.

The typical set-up for a wedding on a beach would be for either a symbolic or a Protestant ceremony.

In addition it should be noted that many Italian restaurants have their terraces either overlooking the Mediterranean or Adriatic Sea or they open up to the beach itself at the same level as the sand and seashore. Some of the terraces are closed by a series of large windows with sea views and allow for you to marry in the winter and in cold weather, others are completely open to the sandy or rocky beach and still others hang on cliffs that over look any of these sceneries.
