Andrea's Biography

For many years as a sports journalist, project manager and outstanding tour operator, Andrea travelled all over Europe, the Middle East and Northern Africa. After serving in Tibet as the head of a peace keeping mission, Andrea finally returned to Bologna, his native city, to marry his high school sweet heart.
As many as were the events he organized and took part in, including motorcycle races across northern Africa, Andrea now sees the raising of his two beautiful girls and spending time with his wife as the most important job he will ever have.
In order to be with his family, Andrea now makes organizing perfect wedding events his calling.

Although Andrea lives on the family’s farm near Ravenna, he spends most of the winter in his beloved Amalfi Coast and often travels from Emilia-Romagna to Tuscany, Umbria and other regions of central Italy.

Tuscany, the heart of the Renaissance, is his passion and he thinks that this region is the very best his homeland can offer to a first time visitor. At the same time, since he knows his wonderful country so well, he encourages everybody to get off the beaten path to discover and enjoy the extraordinary richness of history, art and beauty - not to speak about food, warm friendliness and getting in touch with everyday life in Italy - of other Italian regions and cities.

The Emilia-Romagna region and Bologna, the city where he was born that hosts the oldest college in Europe, are the gastronomic capital of Italy; tortellini, mortadella, prosciutto, parmesan cheese, piadina, eels, Lambrusco wine…Andrea knows the best restaurants and typical local trattorias very well!

Ravenna, the city of Dante Alighieri’s tomb, is the most important centre where one can admire Byzantine art after Istanbul. Dating from the 6th an 7th century and remarkably well preserved, the mosaics in the Basilicas of S. Vitale, Sant’Apollinare in Classe, Sant’Apollinare Nuovo, Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, Arian Baptistry and Neonian Baptistry, all UNESCO World Heritage monuments, will take your breath away with their opulence and uniqueness.

Another UNESCO World Heritage site nearby is the delta of the river Po, the largest Italian river. An area of wetlands, woods, pine forests and archaeological artefacts, teeming with fish and water birds, this is one of Italy’s best kept secrets!

A history buff and great raconteur, Andrea is a delight to be with. He will tell you everything about a location as if he had been there thousands of years ago while the event took place.

Andrea will make your “special day” truly special!
