Little Village in Gubbio

Venue in Gubbio

The ancient complex of Little Village dates back to the beginning of the X century, when it belonged to the father of Sant’Ubaldo, patron Saint of the town of Gubbio. In the XVII century (1695) the whole property was left to the Curia of Gubbio that built a church dedicated to San Biagio and Santa Liberata. The church was in use until the property was abandoned, owing to a decline in the population of the area. Recently the Village, after many years of restoration, came back to life as magnificent as before.

Little Village

Little Village is located at only 12 Km from the medieval town of Gubbio and 20 km from Perugia airport. The property consists of different cut stone buildings leading down to the infinity salt water pool and garden overlooking a pristine valley of secular olive trees and lush woods. The former church has been restored and converted into a unique library and drawing room, respecting the historic architecture and preserving the original frescoes. This small hamlet is an ideal location to visit the historical towns of Umbria such as Assisi, Spello, Bevagna, Montefalco, Todi, Città di Castello and Trasimeno Lake.

Little Village is a country retreat bringing you back to the rhythms of a forgotten past, the ideal place to relax and spend your time enjoying landscapes and silent. This typical Umbrian village can accommodate up to 20 people in well equipped rooms, extremely elegant and stylish, perfect to enjoy a few days in complete relax.

The whole property can be rented for an intimate ceremony and reception. Menus feature high quality ingredients, local specialties “zero miles food”, homemade bread and cakes, and genuine countryside hospitality. The cuisine is based on typical Umbrian products, with fresh organic vegetables and extra virgin olive oil from olive grove. A glass of the local Sagrantino di Montefalco wine, a sprinkling of truffles from Norcia on a homemade tagliatella noodle and good company are the main ingredients of a lovely evening.
