Built in the sixteenth century, Sunflower Castle was the home of The Grand Duke of Tuscany “Leopold II” for many years. Just opposite the Island of Elba, looking out onto olive groves, Sunflower Castle accommodates 20 guests within its seven suites and three en-suite bedrooms. The same family has owned the castle since 1860 and in the beginning of the 1900’s it was carefully restored with the close supervision of the Monuments and Fine Arts Office. The Castle is considered one of the most important buildings in the Cornia Valley.
