Masseria XVII Century

Venue in Martina Franca

This farmhouse is considered one of the most beautiful of Puglia. Stately and elegant stands in the middle of a green oasis where time seems to have devoted to eternity. An eternity worthy only of the great stately homes, such as castles, cathedrals and ancient palaces. Yet we are in open countryside on one of the most pleasant hills of Puglia, between the elegant and refined baroque of Martina Franca and Locorotondo amazing borgo.

Masseria XVII Century

Built in two different historical moments, between the 18th and 19th centuries, this is a typical Farmhouse masseria “to court” composed of two separate and opposite architectural bodies: the imposing House, a Manor House, and the ancient “vaccheria”, group of 12 trulli bracket chained horse, once used as stables.

The consecrated Chapel of considerable historical interest, is rich in frescoes of late 18th century-early 19th, attributed to Carella, (one of the most famous artists of Puglia) and his school. Magnificent frame of the venue is the ancient stone “aia”, from here you can admire the breathtaking view of the Valle d’Itria, and a rare example of a hive, once used and become historical exhibit today.

In recent years, a careful restoration work has enabled the structure within the principal dwelling, recover 6 noble rooms carrying guests stay. An elegant swimming pool complete the unique setting of this historical residence. An ideal place for a Country Chic reception.
