Udine Wedding

Udine Wedding in Friuli
We were married in Udine last May 16th. Once we got back we were so busy with other things we never got back to you regarding our experience. So, I'm taking the time now.
We had a wonderful time in Italy. Looking back I don't think we would have done anything different. Our coordinatior did a good job.
We had the best times in Trieste, Udine, Cividale, San Danielle and Lucca. Basically in the non-tourist areas. Although Venice, Florence and Rome were wonderful too.
It was great having all our train tickets in advance and the hotels were very nice. Now for a detail rundown
Trieste: Hotel was wonderful. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the port. We shared a bottle of wine and some relaxation one of the nights. Food was good. We found some great little places to eat. This was one of our favorite towns. Although it doesn't have an authentic Italian feel to it, we rather enjoyed it.
Udine: Hotel was alright. Town was wonderful. We took bus trips to Cividale and San Danielle one day and had a great time. The wedding was great. All the people involved were very professional and our pictures turned out great. We found a great little wine bar and spent some time there mingling with the locals. The bartender was kind enough to come over and strike up a conversation with us. Very nice.
Venice: Nice town. Our personal tour guide was great. She was very knowledgeable and had a passion for Venice. She took us all over town. One day we went to Murano, Burano and Torcello. Another day we went to Lido. One night we rode the Vaporetto around all night. The location of our hotel was great. We saw and did a lot here. I know our tour guide was very impressed with everything we had done and seen by the time we met her.
Florence: My favorite. We spend four wonderful days here. One of the highlights of our trip was the day trip to Chianti country. However, this is also the only true complaint we have, our driver was great and we bought a great set of 4 wine glasses in a small Tuscan town. These will be cherished for a long time.
Our night tour and dinner was also very nice. The personal tours were very informative and give us an insight into Italy that most tourists will never get.
We took a day trip to Pisa and Lucca. Like you mentioned in the itinerary Pisa isn't the greatest. Although, for most tourists, like us, seeing the Leaning Tower is a must. Lucca was beautiful. Very nice town.
We found an excellent restaurant in Florence pretty close to our hotel. The Uffizi was great as was the Pitti Palace and gardens.
Rome: Rome was really cool. We walked and walked and walked. Not that we didn't in the other towns but we really made it around. Our personal tour guide took us to the Vatican and that was great. We saw all the Roman ruins, etc... I believe the day was saw the Vatican we walked all the way to the Roman baths then walked all the way back across town to a little pizzeria
that we heard about.
During the planning stages your prompt responses (never had to wait more than 24 hours) were greatly appreciated. The information your provided to us more than met our expectations and proved very useful when we were in Italy. You communicated very clearly and thoroughly the paperwork that had to be completed.
I've given rave reviews to all our friends and family here in the States. Just in the past week alone I've given your website to two individuals so they can explore this option for their wedding/honeymoon. You can be assured that we will continue to speak very highly of our experience and your services.
Overall, we had a wonderful time. The itinerary was great and very well planned out. We were amazed at how smoothly everything went. Our coordinator was very helpful and your whole staff was very pleasant to deal with the whole time.
We have great stories that make our friends laugh and many fond memories. Whenever we look back we remember something new and that just makes the whole experience that much better.
When we return to Italy we will certainly contact you and explore the option of having you set up another custom trip. For sure we're going back for our 10 year anniversary.
Take care and a heart-felt Thank You for your hard work. Please give our coordinator a personal thanks from us.
Sincerely,
Doug Bertossi

Udine Civil Wedding
We are still excited and couldn't stop to tell to our families about what a beautiful wedding we had (thank you!) and what nice people we've encountered in Italy, especially in Udine. Our hearts were warmed by all the "complimentis" and "auguris" and we felt so comfortable with you and Martina; we felt like we got married among friends, and not alone in some foreign country. You are special to us, and we'd love to take you out to dinner and extend a little bit of the hospitality.
