Lake Wedding Ceremony

Italy Lake Wedding
Thank you Sonia - we had an absolutely fantastic day. Everything went smoothly, the ceremony was lovely and the day was just magical. Bellagio is to me the most beautiful place on Earth and I cant thank you enough for recommending it to Gary and I for our wedding. Our family and friends cannot believe how beautiful it is and some are making an effort to make sure they go there in their next holiday!
The coordinator was fantastic - very friendly and helpful - especially as we were early and it was a hot day and she arranged for the hall to be opened early for us to take some photos - that was great.
People have asked how I organized the wedding and I have replied that I actually did very little except email and organize the paperwork - you did the rest! They are very impressed!
Thank you once again for arranging our wedding - it is a day that we will both remember for the rest of our lives!
PS: while we have promoted you to all our friends and family, we would prefer if our email was not released for references...we enjoy our privacy!
Thank you once again....
Amanda Hicklin (nee Herbert!).

Chiara -
First of all I could not have been happier with any aspect of my trip. The wedding, the places, the hotels, the tour guides, EVERY aspect of our trip was beyond my wildest expectation. Now that my wedding is over I feel that I am losing a friend because I had so much contact with you. You were responsive to every question and request. I honestly can not tell you how much that meant to me (and Alex). I would be more than happy to be a reference for anyone who has any questions, you are absolutely the best!!!!!
Sad but funny little side note - I am getting legally married here in California on Sunday. Alex & I had Villa Serbelloni send our wedding clothes back to my office so that we could wear them again at our wedding here. (We absolutely felt like a Duke and a Duchess) Well they never arrived. When I called Serbelloni today one of the women said that she thinks they were sent by boat (that takes 6 weeks to 6 months). Many of my friends here made fun of me because I bought two dresses. Now I know why - the only problem is Alex now has to rent a tux - he's so handsome it won't matter - I always thought there was some reason that I had two dresses. Hopefully our clothes will arrive in time for us to celebrate our 1st anniversary. This just showed me how much I needed to have you plan my wedding here too. (smile)
I truly can not thank you enough for the most amazing time in my life - you made every step a joy the hotel was in a great location, peaceful and very nice. But again every tour guide, driver, and hotel operator was fantastic (another little funny story - we don't wear watches - in fact neither of us own a watch - in Positano, the hotel lady gave me the watch off her arm for me to wear the entire 4 days I was there - and when we left we didn't have time for breakfast so she quickly put together a sack breakfast she had made for us to take in the car). The people were just fantastic.
Let me know about the photos please - I can't wait to see them.
Thanks Again,
Diane

Lake Wedding Ceremony in Lombardy, Italy
I wanted to write to you to tell you what an incredible experience our wedding was. Everything was perfect and went without a hitch! We were very nervous about the whole thing prior to arriving in Europe. Not knowing you or anyone in Europe, and trusting that things would be handled, and that the area we chose was as beautiful as you said, seemed to good to be true. A little bit of our skepticism also came from all of the incredible recommendations you had. Again, it seemed too good to be true that all of these people had such perfect "fairy tale" weddings, and nothing negative to say! But now you can add us to that list!
We did have a perfect day! EVERYTHING went so smoothly and we would not have done anything differently. Before leaving the U.S., our wedding planner, e-mailed us several times to make sure we were not forgetting anything. She worked hard to plan and coordinate everything! Every question I had she answered right away, no matter how silly it might have been!
From the moment we arrived in Milan where we met Beatrice, we were feeling a little more at ease. She was extremely nice and helpful and told us that Lake Orta, where we chose to get married, was wonderful. We were getting excited and couldn't wait to go.
The next day we picked up the paperwork and headed to the lake. This process, (the paperwork) also went without any problems! We arrived in Lake Orta and went directly to our hotel. The lake was absolutely beautiful and the hotel the same. We toured around the lake and the neighboring towns. Later that day the florist called me and wanted to show me the flowers he planned to use in my bouquet, to make sure they were good enough for me. This was also special. He really took pride in his work and wanted to make sure that I was happy with the selection. They were beautiful flowers. From there, our wedding coordinator, Philippa Beggi took care of the rest. She picked up our paperwork from the hotel and hand delivered it herself to the town hall so they would be ready for our wedding the next day.
Our wedding day was the best! It was supposed to rain, (according to the reports), so I was not so happy knowing that most of our pictures would take place outside. But even the weather held out and it was a beautiful day! We met Philippa, the florist, and Giuseppe Godi, (the photographer) at our hotel. The bouquet of flowers was absolutely beautiful, and everyone was excited and anxious to begin. We took several pictures all around the beautiful hotel prior to the wedding. We went to the town hall where everything was set to go. The Major of Orta San Giulio, Angelo Bertola was wonderful. We were expecting it to be a very informal ceremony in this "governmental" building, such as a "Justice of the Peace" ceremony, in the U.S., but we were happily mistaken! The town hall was a beautiful 16th Century villa with a nice garden area in the back and on the beautiful lake. Mr. Bertola greeted us and asked us if we would like him to read some poetry at the end of the ceremony. He said that he liked to make it personal and that he has compiled several peoms together and translated them to the best of his ability. It was fantastic! Our wedding was very special. They lightly played music in the background, which was a nice added touch! The ceremony was in Italian and then translated into English by Philippa, which was wonderful. Everything was just fantastic. A very special, unique experience that we will never forget. After the ceremony, Mr. Bertola gave us a beautiful book all about the history of Lake Orta. He wrote a lovely message inside and told us that he would love it if we would come back someday, which we will most definitely do! This too, made everything so special and personal!
After the ceremony, we took about two hours worth of pictures. This might sound like a chore, but Philippa and Giuseppe were a great team. They were funny and entertaining, and made us relaxed while taking pictures. The time flew by and it was a lot of fun, and best of all, we have the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen! Giuseppe has a real talent for photography. We really did not know what to expect from the pictures and were so excited to open them up and see beautiful artwork! Everyone is always critical of themselves in pictures, but I can honestly say that I love them, and they came out beautifully. I was also very impressed with how quickly Laura got them to us!
Everything about our entire wedding was perfect. We had no problems, and no regrets! We would do it all over again, and not change a thing. I cannot thank you enough for everything! Please feel free to use us as a reference!
Sincerely,
Amber and Mark Zaremskas
