Requirements for Malaysians

A “Statutory declaration”  is required in front of their public notary. Then the Malaysian Embassy (High Commission) in Germany legalizes the document.

This “Statutory declaration” declares that you are free to get married with your partner. Once in Rome they have to bring this document to the Malaysian Embassy to get the Nulla Osta. The Nulla Osta then has to be authenticated at the Prefettura and then they are free to get married in Italy.

Please note that the Wedding Hall in Rome requires:

•          Birth Certificate with translation into Italian

•          Copy of  your  passport

•          Authenticated Nulla Osta
