Italy does not have many requirements for getting married - even if you want to organize your destination wedding with not much advance notice. As a result couples that want to travel to Italy for a wedding abroad can do so with confidence and arrive only a few days before their wedding date.

The Italian marriage requirements can easily be fulfilled providing there are no particular holidays interfering with the timing of your event. During holidays and weekends most public offices and consulates are closed.

Also make sure the embassy or consulate of your own country is not closed because of a national holiday or crisis if you are planning on going over there.
