Destination Weddings in Torri del Benaco

Torri del Benaco is is a charming village on the eastern shore of lake Garda, the largest of the Italian lakes.

The landscape of Torri de Benaco with its small picturesque port is dominated by the imposing Castello Scaligero dating from Roman times. Archeological findings show that the area was inhabited since ancient times. Later it became an important Roman fortified centre - castrum.

After much restructuring over the centuries, by Berengario king of Italy in the tenth century, by the Scaligeri in the thirteen hundred, the castle was restored about twenty years ago and it is now possible to visit the structure and to climb up to the tower. The historic heart of town with its narrow alleys retains a medieval and romantic atmosphere, ideal for an Italian destination wedding.
