Special Features of this Wedding Venue in the Ruins of Ancient Rome
Truly one of our favorite reception venues for Rome, this restaurant is perfectly suitable for a champagne luncheon for two or a large group wanting to celebrate with dancing and music. Here, ancient and modern blend perfectly. The cuisine is superb, with a highly prized cellar offering a vast selection of wines from all over Italy. Cuisine and culture, all in one setting, provide an authentic Roman atmosphere.
There are private rooms with gorgeous frescoes and furnishings or romantic hidden nooks for a couple wanting to celebrate in private. Inside, the garden houses some ancient Roman artefacts and this site has hosted a restaurant since 1890. The travellers coming into Rome would stop here for a glass of wine.
An ancient wisteria plant adorns part the veranda, dramatically shading diners. It is possible to dine inside or outside and in the evening a magical atmosphere pervades, as candles softly shed their light over beautiful china, fabrics and crystal.
