5 Star Oriental Palace Hotel in the Heart of Ravello

Setting	The palace is terrific for its position and structure. It's just in the heart of Ravello and has superb views and a wonderful park and garden overlooking the bay.
Interior	Its architecture reveals strong Arab and oriental influences and is rich in valuable antiques - the atmosphere here is quite magical and of days gone by. Local terra-cotta tiles, some of which are very old decorate the floors. The halls and rooms are decorated by characteristic Moorish arches supported by marble columns, which belonged to Greek and Roman dwellings in the nearby Paestum and Amalfi areas.
Accommodations	21 rooms and suites. Each of them are different in style and decorated with original antiques. The atmosphere reflects the local artistic heritage in its tiles and fabrics. Rooms have names instead of numbers, such as "La Moresca", "La Colombaia", La Torre. Each room has splendid views of the sea or the magical little town.
Reception	They prefer receptions of limited number of persons, about 15/20. Sala S. Giovanni: max 65 - 70 per person. A superb hall with with frescos of the '600s. Sala Grande: Min 35 per person - max 70. Another wonderful reception hall with terrace attached with sea views for cocktails. Terrazza Colombaia: on the top of the palace. Ideal because it enjoys two views: the sea and the historical center of Ravello. The garden, overlooking the sea, is available for receptions and welcome cocktails. This hotel also owns a private Villa in Marmorata (which is between Ravello and Minori) which is at complete disposal of the guests! Direct sea access and a great place for reception, dancing, brunches and more. Catering with open bar possible and is the only part where dancing is possible.

Special Features

This wonderful luxury 5 star hotel is a palace dating back to the 12th century and used to be the home of a noble family. John Houston filmed one of his movies, here taking advantage of the incredible architecture. The atmosphere carries a touch of the orient with its Moorish architecture and deep toned colors of the fabrics. The Palace décor reflects the history of its past life. A piano where Wagner composed one of his works is still in the main hall as is a fine painting by Guido Reni. The frescoed dining room is a wonder and would be quite superb for a reception. The Palace is a place to linger in, relax by the pool overlooking the blue waters of the bay or visit the wonderful gardens of Villa Rufolo. An ideal location for a very exclusive reception.
