You can organize your own wedding in Italy all by yourself and with no help from anyone – not even from us!

Here is how to get married on your own with no one’s help:

3. Call the Italian consulate in your own country and confirm with them what to do. The requirements can change at any time and often do.
4. Call the consulate of your own country in Italy and set up an appointment - if meeting with them will be necessary.
5. Set up an appointment for the wedding hall that you prefer and coordinate things with them.
6. Arrive several days early to make sure you have enough working days to complete all tasks plus a few extra ones in case there are delays.
7. Make sure there are no holidays or strikes that will interfere with your schedule.
8. Bring a person with you that is fluent in Italian.
9. Have two witnesses with you at the marriage ceremony.

Not many people opt to get married abroad on their own or without assistance, but it certainly can be done if you are good at following directions and do run into any unexpected situations.
