Catholic Marriage in Italy

We can plan either a Catholic marriage in Italy with civil validity or a Catholic blessing ceremony.

Although the ceremony itself will be exactly the same, couples wanting to have both a civil and Catholic marriage rite simultaneously can do so.  This option is available in many but not all Catholic churches in Italy. You will need to check with your wedding planner for her suggestions.

Catholic Matrimony requires specific religious paperwork to be completed several months prior to the event.  The final approval depends on the local Diocese, not IDW.

It is possible to celebrate Catholic Matrimony in Italy even if only one of the two parties is Catholic.

If you have previously been married in the Catholic Church and have not received a formal annulment, only a civil ceremony will be possible in Italy.
